Express Digital Solutions, Blantyre
Andrew Namisikha is Managing Director of Express Digital Solutions. He leads a technology company that commenced on 5 March 2024 and is registered in Blantyre. The work under his direction is practical: take organisations that still run on paper and disconnected tools, and give them systems they can actually operate.
He does not treat software as a product to be dropped off. A system, in the standard he sets, is finished only when people have been trained and the organisation can run it without the builders standing in the room. That is the difference between a demo and a tool a school, a clinic, or a business will still be using next year.
He leads a specialist team. Russell Liabunya leads innovations. Sharon Kajombo leads marketing. Daniel Ndalama leads systems integration. Fortune Msukwa leads interface design. Andrew holds the direction: which problems are worth building for, what "done" means, and how the company stays a partner after go-live.
The company he leads builds custom business systems, school platforms, healthcare systems, enterprise resource planning, commerce, payments, websites, cloud deployment, digital media, and security. The same discipline runs through all of them. Start from the real workflow. Build one connected system. Train the people who will use it.
The clearest expression of his leadership is the digitisation of private schools with the Independent Schools Association of Malawi, South Western Division (ISAMA SWED), in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 - Quality Education. Private schools have long kept admissions, attendance, exams, fees, and parent communication on paper. Under this programme each school moves onto one School Management System.
Express Digital Solutions has already worked with more than 10 schools, including Savi Education Facility, Edukids Facility, and Precious Private Academy. With ISAMA SWED the target is 100 schools by the end of this year. By January 2027 the project will extend into training AI and robotics in schools, through the Express Digitals Innovations Centre.
Institutions that back African leadership, including development partners and programmes such as the Mandela Washington Fellowship, look for people who are already doing the work in their own community, and who can say what they will do next. Andrew's record is that work.
He is building digital systems from Blantyre: school systems, business systems, and the Express Digitals Innovations Centre at CSC House, Floor 1, where institutions, organisations, and young people are trained in technology and on the systems the company builds. The next step he has named is specific. 100 schools on one platform with ISAMA SWED by the end of this year. From January 2027, training in AI and robotics in schools.
